Anna Atkins (1799-1871) was an English botanist and photographer. She was the first person to publish a book illustrated with photographic images. 

Sun Gardens gathers the cyanotype photograms of ferns, flowers, feathers, lace, and seaweed that Atkins produced over a ten-year period, assisted by her friend Anne Dixon. Signed by art historian Larry Schaaf who wrote the introduction.
