This lesbian pulp fiction trilogy by Valerie Taylor (born Velma Nacella Young) is a true mail order publisher gem. Originally printed in 1963/1964 and re-issued in 1982 as a Volute Book, it follows the passionate love life of Erika Frohmann.

Printed by the Naiad Press, which was founded in 1973 by partners Barbara Grier (an editor of the Ladder Magazine) and Donna McBride, along with Anyda Marchant and Muriel Crawford. Dedicated exclusively to lesbian literature and lesbian genre fiction, very few bookstores would carry its authors. The Naiad Press hence relied heavily on mail orders to market and sell their books. Nearly fifty years later, you can mail order this beautiful set via and so on books, and revel in the lesbian romances of yesteryear.

Valerie Taylor was also a poet, feminist, and Gray Panther. The Gray Panthers are an activist and advocacy group fighting ageism and social injustices.

Erika has found a good new home.

I do really miss her sometimes.
